United recently broke a custom made neck off of a professional quality five-string bluegrass banjo that was in a Calton flight case, traveling with a friend from Japan to the United States. The United baggage person in San Francisco was amazingly unhelpful - saying that United wasn' t responsible. And this banjo was in a professional flight case - someone must have thrown it a very long way for that neck to break like it did. I will never fly United if I can help it.

@BillEvansBanjo Sorry to hear about the banjo. That's a crying shame. Of course, United Airlines hires people right off the street just like everyone else. I'm sure those baggage workers couldn't care less if something gets broken. They're just putting in their 8 hours to get thier paycheck.

Hi Boomer, my name is Matt from Argentina. I really enjoyed your video and of course Dave´s first claim song !!! I was just wondering if you could tell me which softw and hardw you use to record this perfect parody, it sounds really good and full ! Many thanks in advance !!!! Cheers,

@motals Sure. On the software side ... I use Cool Edit Pro for recording and editing sound. I use Sony Vegas Pro for editing video. For the hardware I use a B-2 Pro Studio Mic through a Boss signal processor for vocals, and a combination of acoustic instruments, Roland XP-80 workstation, and my Yamaha XS-7 workstation for making the background track. My video camera is pretty basic, just a Sony HRD-SR12 Handycam. Hey! Thanks for the kind words.
