  • who die first if those are real swords and no armor ?

  • @DistendedPerinium Yes the bastard sword is my favorite weapon. I wouldnt say it had "terrifying power" though, compared to a longsword or a zweihander or a claymore it was not an exceedingly powerful sword. Its major strength was its versatility, it was a jack of all trades sword, not as good at cutting as a katana but damn close, and a better thruster to boot. It was also meant to be wielded with one or two hands. Basically bastard sword is way more technically versatile.

  • @hxckid1988 Most of a katana's power was not in the design of the blade, but in the technique with which it was used. While they were combat weapons, they were combat weapons of last resort. The real damage that samurai did was with spears and bows. The japanese need for perfection was the only real driving force being the perfecting of katana fighting techniques. On the other hand, the bastard sword was designed, pommel to point, as a combat weapon of rather terrifying power.

  • looks the bastard sword had a slight edge, Katana's are overated.

  • It looks like they both chopped eachothers heads off lol...

  • Nice.......................
