@plyomaxcoach this exercise however is not the reason you are a good athlete. In fact is does nothing for your sport or athletic ability. Look to increasing force production and let your 'balance' training be done on the ice. A high jumper spends their time constantly jumping, therefore you wouldn't take them into the gym and get them to jump more. You'd work on something else. You should do the same.

@plyomaxcoach I second MikeEves1, where exactly are you apply force? How does this produce or increase force? It doesn't. You have been called to the training camp because you are a talented player. The intra muscular co ordination you have developed through playing, and the genetic talent you have always you to perform such exercises as above. I would doubt there are many exercises you would not be able to accomplish or perfect, its why you are an athlete....

@DanseFou Thanks for that video....you know giving an example for me to see what you are saying helps get the point across. I totally see how this helps your focus and training capacity as an athlete. Thois is good for coordination and responce time training....I will surely incorporate this into my training....

@plyomaxcoach You could try doing box jumps onto two solid tractor tyres. In this way it would be plyometric. As you jump down, you use the recoil to bounce up. Then keep repeating.

Try balancing something on your head so you are not thinking about the balancing on the ball. Diversionary training.
