This video will show you the basics on how to use a vertical bandsaw machine. Here is a Doall vertical bandsaw that has a 2 speed transmission, variable speed pulleys, blade welder and grinder, and a pneumatic table feed. To view Bandsaws for sale please visit http://www.SterlingMachinery.com

  • @ccm800 Why is that? Metal band saw blades are a little thicker than most wood blades and really do not break that easy. If you are afraid they will break at the weld they won't if annealed to a dull red twice NOT a cherry red. If I am cutting a 1/2 piece of steel even with a 1/2" blade I can put my weight in to the metal to feed it through and it won't even begin to break the blade. You need 2 or 2.5 teeth on the metal at all times any less it will take the teeth off.

  • @funny0000000 thanks for the info. I guess its the knowing what I'm doing part that has me concerned.

  • @ccm800 A 1" blade like he has is almost impossible to break when used correctly. You must change the blade to get the correct teeth per inch depending on what you cut. With wood you it is not as critical but with metal if you try to cut thin metal with a course blade that will break it or take teeth off in a few seconds of use. Also too much feed pressure if you have hydraulic or pneumatic feed can break the blade. Over all they do not break easy if you know what you are doing.

  • how likely is the blade to break?

  • Awesome, I am so nervous about welding my first blade. I had no idea how it worked and wasn't any more comfortable after reading the manual. Thanks for posting this. I have the same Doall saw and I actually use it for wood working. It is the best possible bandsaw for any industry!
