roh is as good as, and far better than most indy promotions, but not as messianic - as far as saving us from being sucked in by the really big promotions - as it makes itself out to be. you can fast forward on many of its matches and miss nothing. steen as a roh champion? i'll pass and come back next week.

are you serious?? Steen is in incredible shape, and shape doesnt just mean his outside look, the man can wrestle and do things a lot of other wrestlers cant do, aside from willie mack ive never seen a more agile big guy than steen

You're right, all the big boys had to start somewhere and I don't hold this start against ROH at all. I just felt a little let down by it after Cornette talking it up, but I'm thinking about buying an online PPV from them. I think I'd see a better show. If they're only going to do an hour on TV, I would like more than 2 matches.

As far as TNA goes, I haven't seen the show in months but when I did it was awful. Finally got a match going 30 minutes in and I think I lasted about 10 more minutes.

Yeah, you're normally loyal to the type of wrestling you were raised on so Mid-South was about as bare bones as it got back then. The 1st Wrestlemania in the Silverdome was like climbing Mt. Everest as far as putting on a show for me. Just remember companies like WCW, ECW, TNA and others would not have become popular without starting somewhere?! btw: What's your take on TNA?

I do agree that the WWE chews guys up and spits them out, mainly it seems like they do this because they don't know how to get anyone with any talent over. They have quite a lot of talented guys but none of them can get over. You can take your pick of several, but R Truth is a good example, the guy is talented, but they give him a shot at the title out of nowhere, he never got over and now he is between mid-card and a joke.
