From their 1982 album Avalon

Lyrics:

I could feel at the time
There was no way of knowing
Fallen leaves in the night
Who can say where they're blowing
As free as the wind
Hopefully learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this you know there's nothing
More than this tell me one thing
More than this ooh there is nothing

It was fun for a while
There was no way of knowing
Like a dream in the night
Who can say where we're going
No care in the world
Maybe I'm learning
Why the sea on the tide
Has no way of turning

More than this you know there's nothing
More than this tell me one thing
More than this no, there's nothing

More than this nothing
More than this
More than this nothing

  • From the opening notes one of the greatest pop songs ever, perfectly suited to the plaintive quality of Bryan's voice. An instant and eternal classic.

  • Wow, full blast this is just one of ther best melodies of all time!...its truly stunning

  • I love this song, it takes me back to a very happy time, oh, if only life was so good as this song makes me feel!!

  • Last 17 seconds or so always gives me goose bumps.

  • @ongerie1 I watched that match on tv. It was a fucking miracle and I only knew that because the announcers were like "this can't be happening". Back then the Russians were bad ass and scarey.

Now they are just regular dudes, and I'm okay with that.

  • i have to be honest. before this album, i thought roxy music sounded goofy. i don't know what happened with this album, but it is such a different, markedly beautiful sound.

  • @ilikebluepez Yeah it's scary to think back to ones first love all that time ago. Can't beleive I'm the age I am now.

  • I bought this album when it was first released, love it.

  • @reddevilparatrooper There was a man whom I loved and still lives in my memory 25 years later. I sometimes wonder what my life would have been with him. I was young and stupid and afraid. I will love you forever Dax. Maybe next time.......

  • @ltreyltrey Jagger you jealous cunt, he stole his woman after thinking "God this guy's got real talent how can I fuck him up?...I may as well steal his girlfriend"

  • @ongerie1
