@kittydreamz86 The whole point of a cover is to cover the original song, not to cover the cover of the song.

What's the point in covering a song exactly the way it has already been covered. Though I guess in the context of American Idol it's ok of course. My problem was more about him getting all the credit for the genius cover and not the fact that he actually performed Chris Cornell's cover.

It's idol, they're all covers, just pay credit to who really deserves it. It's called integrity

@YossGold Who criticizes a cover for being unoriginal? The whole point of a cover is everyone knows it will be less original than, say, an original song. He's covering a less known version of it and frankly making it more popular since most people had never heard of it. How bizarrely hypocritical to be mad he didn't do the same version everyone else would.

A doucher inflicts his doucheness (also not a word) upon the rest of the world. You are clearly a David Cook fan, so i won't go too into depth here. But, suffice it to say that David Cook and American Idol represent everything that is wrong with the music industry. You're right, this clearly isn't for me.
