  • I made this video for a project for a class. I'm sorry if the requirements for the project don't fit your understanding of the profession. I'm sorry if you have had a bad experience with a social worker but that outlook is very narrow minded for a HELPING profession.

  • Your knowledge of social workers is limited to child protective social workers, so maybe you should educate YOURSELF before you damn a whole profession for what barely amounts to be a fraction of what social workers really do. People like you always damn social work for its mistakes, but you don't give them any credit for their successes. Why? Becausing saving a child from an abusive home and changing his/her life for the better don't make the evening news.

  • Blah blah blah. Social workers do a lot more than work for the state cps. Try treating your kids right and you won't have any problems.

  • @a999op Wanting to help people, and helping people can be different things though can they not? Though reading what i posted a year ago, I do agree that i wrote that post with a rather narrow mind. However I still believe the social workers system is corrupt. A corrupt system with good intentions still does some good.. but it still also does a lot of harm, especially in the CPS field.

If they would fix the system, checks/balances and remove bad incentives, i'd support it.

  • @GhostInTheShell29 You are very rude and narrow minder. Some social workers just want to help people.

  • If any of you had real jobs maybe our society wouldn't be a bankrupt welfare state. Clear enough ???

  • @MultiBuakaw Your kids should be taken from you. You're a violent, gun obsessed, illiterate weirdo!

  • @Temptations2 Are you illiterate by any chance?

  • @Alfrunk

aRE YO9U BLIND BY ANY CHANCE? jUST BLINDED BY SOCIETY???

  • Social Work was created after the Great Depression as a band aid project to fill in the gaps where psychiatrists and psychologists were not available. Over the years Social Workers have been giving very little actual training and too much power. I once had a social work student think his course load was a great as mine in psychology until he saw what I had to study. I was shocked someone can have so much power with so little education.

  • I AM A LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROFFESSIONAL AND HAVE WITNESSED SOCIAL WORKERS INTENT ON CARRYING AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ON THEIR CASELOAD- ONE PATIENT WAS TOLD BY THE ASSIGNED SW ( SW- AGE LATE 50'S) THAT HE DID NOT REQUIRE NURSING ( QUAD-TRACH - VENT DEPENDENT) AND THAT A CAREGIVER 'HIRED FROM THE PAPER' WOULD SUFFICE. WELL AFTER MONTHS OF THIS BRAINWASHING BY THE SW- I OVERHEARD WHAT SHE WAS STATING. I IMMEDIATELY REPORTED THIS TO MY COMAPANY AND THEN SHOWED SW THE MD ORDERS-24 HOUR NURSING.
