Since we're soon going to bid summer adieu, I thought of this nice little beach tribute to three of the screen goddesses of the 40s - Ava Gardner, Lana Turner and Rita Hayworth. I used Astrud Gilberto's "Beach Samba" as the background music and some beach effects. Happy viewing!

@26mae1987 Its funny because I watched a Lana Turner film last week titled "We Who Are Young". It was filmed when she was 19 and in some shots of the movie she looks just like Rita Hayworth. It's crazy and she had long red hair in the fiml too.

these pics seem biased the way they were chosen. i think out of all of them Lana was most talented. i remember seeing her in "Madame X" when i was young and thought 'wow.' Rita Hayworth has nice smile and Ava's face is too long or something. don't like her face structure.

Three of my favorite Hollywood movie stars. All three stars were extremely beautiful and very gifted actresses. I just don't understand why some people didn't showcase Lana very well in their comments.

I seem to feel some posters don't hold Lana to the same standard as Rita and Ava. I'm a big Lana fan. 1:27, in the Prodigal, Lana was 35 years old. They didn't hit the gym in those days.

Ava and Rita were gorgeous, indeed, but Lana was certainly not a real beauty. A good actress, though
