  • Ella Fitzgerald RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Jane Monheit, but probably the best living scatter is Kurt Elling, who's maybe

    even better than Bobby McFerrin.

  • write it out & play it on the piano or a sax, & see how lame this really is...

  • @NacoMan08 They haven't heard of Ella, that's why.

  • I have to say it's good but the best is all up to taste. Some like chocalate and some like vanilla.

  • Yes she is amazing but sorry for me the best jazz scat ever is Ella Fitzgerald "One note samba". I never heard anybody else so far able to do better than that. I still like this one though.

  • Sorry but Ella's intonation IS better.

  • wow, just shows the pervasion of people not even listening to the music and just the lyrics. can't appreciate true music which is notes not words. learn to hear the story not read it... great scat hah

  • But definitely not the best ever. They sound great together though and they are way better than some other people I've heard. There's no such thing as the best scat though because everyone does if differently

  • @83papple scatting is a classic form of jazz improvisation and that's kinda the point. U are supposed to improvise a melody to sound like an instrument. I do think she could've had a little more variety and swing in her scat but she is definitely good and they sound great together. There is no such thing as a "best" scat though, everyone does it differently

  • Wow they are really good at scatting. They sound great

  • @83papple It is a jazz improv where the singer imitates a jazz band instrument with their voice. When done with enough soul and rythem, it can sound just fantastic.
