  • I remember this was always the last cartoon on Saturday morning, usually coming on at 11:30am or noon. After it went off, it was time to go outside and find your friends, and ride your bike, and enjoy being outside till dark. The good old days of being a kid in the 80's

  • damn right, no dislikes! that's what i thought!

  • @StormsongK Oh I know, it's just that it surprises me in retrospect how Pole Position goes almost full anime, it's a shame the stories in the show were never as interesting as that slick animation.

  • @nailin18 Lots of US cartoons in the 80s were animated in Japan, and the design influences showed. It really kind of prepped US audiences for the anime explosion of the 90s.

  • R.I.P D.I.C. now it's named Cookie Jar!

  • This was basicaly an anime disguised as a cartoon, not that I'm complining, the animation was amazing.

  • Since everything in the 80s was toy driven, why didn't we get Wheels or Roadie? Those toys would have been so cool.

  • i remember pole position being the last CBS show on Saturdays at 1:30pm around 1985 or 86

  • Cookie Jar needs to be told 1. DIC's logo theme was not played during these credits and 2. the logo did not fade that abruptly or slowly.

  • What are you talking about? Pole position aired at 10:30.

  • This was my JAM back in the day! Thanks for uploading. I remembered almost all the lyrics, too. Man, I loved Wheels and Roadie.
