Protecting the climate is a job for everyone

Australia can, must and will meet 40% cuts by 2020. The Greens are confident that once we set off on the path to 25% cuts, delivered mostly at home, we can easily accelerate our effort towards 40% and beyond to carbon neutrality. Putting 25% on the table will see Australia taken seriously at the Copenhagen negotiations.

Yeah good one greens. Thanks a million - as one of thousands of Australians who have just lost my job I'm glad you think I can just sit and wait for a politically correct industry to prop up. Yes the climate is going to kill us all, but hunger will do it quicker. If you're prepared to pay my bills and feed my family then I accept your job offer.

We have been promoting strong plans to build those industries, put in place skills audits and training programs and ensure that those who are hurt by the financial crisis and by climate action can and will get new jobs in sustainable industries, preferably before they lose the jobs they are in now.

@WrigglepotOnline Voting for the Greens is not a vote for Labor. In the end political parties will form coalitions if no party gets a majority. But the ideals of the parties involved will be reflected in that coalition, all be it if they have to compromise. If voting for the Greens represented a vote for LABOR, then why did they go into coalition with the Libs in Tasmania?

Also before trying to pronounce some insight into Australian politics, please get the names of political parties correct.
