Swedish death metal. From the album, "Megatrends in Brutality". Released in 1992 by Century Media.

This album features L-G Petrov who did vocals for the first Entombed album, "Left Hand Path". You can tell how much influence this band drew from Entombed's classic Stockholm sound just by how similar the logos look. The Stockholm sound that this band adopts implies STRONG crust punk and d-beat influences, and those influences are especially prevalent on this record.

Track 8 - Conductor of Ashes

conductor of ashes
the structure of fear
mythic malignance
the realm of screams

the sacrifice is formalized
by demand of his dreams
we are subject to the freedom
of loyality of self-defeat

image of man
elaborate pain
I see the conductor of ashes in
splendor again

image of dogs
prosthetic of hate
the nightmare and sorrow of men
is his real estate

a grave injustice
done to man
the pillars of of wisdom
fell by his hands
vengeant sire
self-mutilator

darkened souls but truth unfolds
in silence of many children
bright lies and cash flows
to the scream of many men

(deceptive tyrant...
conductor of ashes)
and we know you commissioned
all our sins from above
in the skies: our lives
desert sands in the wind

image of man
elaborate pain
I see the conductor of ashes in
splendor again
image of dogs
prosthetic of hate
the nightmare and sorrow of men
is his real esetate

a grave injustice
done to god
etnho-surgery
immortal wounds
plugged in ritual
compulsive advertise
(... master... spirit... guardian)

  • this is a fantastic album and song as is their sophomore effort. Why couldn't they have commissioned a drummer though? The drum machine is alright, but it's painfully obvious during the double bass/blast sections and in my opinion detracts just a bit from what could have been a nearly perfect gem of early Swedish Death. still great.
