I Want To Go To Heaven (on a ukulele) - sung by Jack Marti

I've already done this song on You Tube, but somebody asked me to do a ukulele version, so that's why I'm doing it again! It's such a great song, I thought it deserved a ukulele version. I did to tune my uke down a step in order to be able to reach the notes, and my voice was a little rough because I did this in the morning, but hopefully it's not too bad!

Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this. The chords are in the video description, assuming the strings are tuned to standard tuning (g C E A where g is pitched betwen E and A).

Sure! Why not! They're not that expensive (compared to a good guitar), and they're fairly easy to play!

I wish I had discovered the uke many years ago. Actually, I've always known about them, but it wasn't until I heard Jake Simabukuro play While My Guitar Gently Weeps that I realized the ukulele was a serious instrument!

Great video. I like the ukulele. I've played it a bit, in the past couple years, though my main stringed instrument was always mandolin. I used to get slightly offended when someone called my mandolin a ukulele, but then I realized I was just bigoted toward the ukulele, and I came to like the ukulele.
