There are four short examples about how the same march can sound quite different depending on arrangement. My favourite is the second extract. Please tell your opinion!

0.00-0.42 "Imperial Russian arrangement" by St. Petersburg Admiralty Navy Band
0.42-1.24 "Soviet" arrangement by Leningrad Military District Headquarters Band
1.24-1.44 Slow cavalry march by The Life Guards Band (UK)
1.44-2.08 "Prussian" style by Rakuunasoittokunta (The Dragoon Band, Finland)

  • My favorite - everything! But why there is no version of Royal Marines? It has the official status...

  • @PetrovFed I don't have it. :/

  • Very nicely done. Thanks.

  • @meadowlands1937 Thank you.

  • @JMKenobi2007 As a Russian i would say defiantly no,

  • 2nd one definetely!

  • My favourite is also the second one. I prefer when it's faster ;)

  • Preobrazhensky is superb in any style. Greetings from Connecticut!

  • I like the "Imperial Russian" and the "Prussian".

  • The Russian Soviet is Nice...

  • Probably either the Imperial style (for a slow march) or the Prussian for a quick-step.

  • Superbe.*****5
