Great videos. Really impresive layout and attention to detail.

@NSBNSFsuperfan Because he decided too. :) Don't be judging. :)

why would you use that cheap ass sectional track?

Hi. Just wondering. At 0:40 it showes another switch closer to the isolating sections than the ones you're talking about. Does that one not have to be switched as well for the loco to pass through ??
Great job, love it.

I love the vids. Great explantion of everything involved. I gave the hobby up years ago, and I want to get back into it, but looks like there is a lot that I need to catch up on. Great layout construction as well.

The Switch remains in the position last thrown. You can reposition it as you wish by two methods. 1. you can connect a manual overide push button switch to the Hare. Or 2. you can program a default position on the hare so it returns to the pre-programed position. Hope this answers your questions.

Yes, The Hare has a connection for a switch override.

All videos of this series are very interesting and explanatory. Well done!
Do you know if the circuit to sense the locomotive and automatically throw the switch works with Tortoise only? Are there similar boards for different switch motors?

I do not know it the "Hare" will operate with other switch machines. It was designed to plug into the "Tortise" machines. DCC Voltage goes right in to the "Hare" which in turn powers the "Tortise". I Have all of my "Hare's" on my three reverse loops.
