This is a short clip from Hellsing
showing Alucard releasing the control art restriction system to level 2. He's one hell of a vampire - heck, just read his name backwards.. This is from season 1, episode 8? Maybe 9... I dunno.

At 2:00 he rips some s#!t up.

  • The OVA was better in my opinion

  • ''Releasing control art resriction systems 3, 2, 1, approval of situation A recognized convensing the Cromwell invication. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered silent.'' That is the true words of Alucard in the Ova in this scene.

  • Oh and buddy, I'm afraid this is Level 1, not Level 2....

  • The OVA version of Alucard vs. Luke Valentine OWNS this version of it....

  • @amazingcomedy2 Yeah, I guess you can explain a lot about them if you take the time to do it, still that will only raise that many more questions about them since there's so little information about, well, all of them..

and I guess you got a good point about Incognito, but I really don't know.. As bland as Incognito was, he had a basic motivation unlike that very silent Captain.

Then again, I think this is all also why they're making Hellsing Dawn.

  • @toxicitzi I do agree with the Alucard glorifying thing though, I mean, we never saw the rest of Hellsing, only Alucard and Seras. The TV series detailed it more, and I'm glad they did. It explained why there was an army of soldiers at Hellsing HQ when the Valentine Brothers attacked. The manga seemed to make Alucard the only operative at the organization.

  • @toxicitzi Well, the Major was war hungry and masochistic, like Incognito. The Dok seemed to be sorta like the Major's outspoken friend who'll go along with what he wants. The Captain, well I don't understand him, he's an incognito. (see what I did there?)

The rest of the battalion was probably like the Major, masochist, and maybe some felt if they didn't cooperate with the Major, they would die, since that happened to alot of the ones who rebelled against him.

  • @amazingcomedy2 That's really the biggest problem I saw in the manga, Alucard is being glorified so much that the threat isn't even felt there, even after he's completely isolated on a ship in the middle of the ocean. Even without knowing of his Zero release, I still didn't feel the danger.

Alucard is just immortal, there's simply no way around it. He can't be killed unless he accepts his defeat.

  • @amazingcomedy2 Yeah, but at least it was there.. with half of the Nazi officers, I didn't understand even a scrap of their motivations or reasons..

As lame as Incognito's was, I liked him much better than the Millenium's top soldiers. Their motivations weren't given any time, or panels, so I didn't really give a shit who they were, where they came from, what they did or what their life story was.. Basically, they're just Alucard's familiars, end of story.

  • @toxicitzi Well, the OVAs are meant to be closer to the manga then this anime was.

Anyways, I like the TV series very much, but Incognito was just, bad, to put it nicely. He's badass looking, but he's just a real cartoony villain.

"Destruction is all I live for, mwahahahahahahah."

    That's why he didn't work.

  • @vkyle52 Yes it was

  • I like how he's like, aw I lost a leg, big deal. XD
