@lordofdastrings76 Actually, film and video game scores are pushing the boundaries of low brass which is proven with the the more frequent use of contrabass trombones, 8 member horn sections, 2 tubas, euphoniums etc. and with it the desire for players to blast out pedals. @Bassbonemexie has a great low range and this IS important. Check out the video entitled "Hellboy bass trombone massacre" on here. They would agree with me.

@RunnerTromboneNerd Yamaha as well as others make "intermediate" bass trombones, but none are cheap. $2600

Just got a bass trombone for honors band but I suck at the low notes because I was playing with a small shank beginner trombone before I switched
