  • Why does my Kirby 3rd Gen. Jumping off the ground & taking-off Flying when I engage the drive lever. Please can you advise me on how to make the repair or adjustment? Thanks ~Annette~

  • @reptilesandbmx25 I would replace the power drive transmission unit with the wheels. It's about 20 years old, it might be an over fix, but it will most defiantly solve your problem. It cost $109.95 and has FREE shipping! GoVacuum dot com part# kir122

  • I would love to see a video of how to replace the fill tube. I got a Kirby G4 from a garage sale. It needed cleaning but works very well. All it needs is a new fill tube because it has holes in it. Thanks ...Lisa :)

  • @lisaheath1 Hi Lisa, I just wanted to let you know that I was able to shoot the bag fill tube repair video as you requested. If you visit our main page and view all videos, it is the very last one. I hope this helps you fix your Kirby! Thanks again for watching the Govacuum video series. -Chris

  • THIS is the correct sequence... Remove head, bag system and handle. Remove both scuff-plate screws, remove cord plug cover, pull the cable out. Remove 4 body-housing screws and body. Tilt unit and remove 5 screws, 2 of which are hidden. Remove On/Off pedal, Tech Drive, belt and actuator rod. Unscrew the 4 headlight frame screws. Unplug all connections and remove the bracket. Re-seat unit, remove side grill and finally, remove the 2 motor retainer screws. Pull out the motor block. Replace fan.
  • i am so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i tried replacing the fan in mine and the fan was just sliding so i put a screwdriver in the back gear to hold it in place then the drive belt snaped because the force was to strong then i got plyers and held the gear and the gear broke into a million pieces. my kirby has to be the most stunnorn to replace the fan in the world !!!!

  • @lisaheath1 Thanks for watching our video series! I will try and take a video of the fill tube replacement in the next few days, this is a common, and challenging repair as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
