About once a month, my video, "Seven Minutes: the 9/11 split screen video", receives a comment from some Bush apologist saying, "He didn't want to frighten the children!" or "What was he to do?"

This is my video response to them.

  • It was SEVEN FREAKING MINUTES!!!! SEVEN!!!! ITS NOT LIKE WE"RE TALKING HOURS!!!!! YOU REALLY THINK HE COULD MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION IN SEVEN MINUTES?!?!?

  • @halliehater Tell ya what. I'll set your house on fire with you wait inside for seven minutes deciding how to react.

And I'm not sure just how "informed" of a decision one can make when they DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON.

    Bush apologists make me sick.

  • Bush "didn't want to frighten the children!" as you put it. It's a good thing he didn't get up and leave. On Time's website there's an article that includes interviews with some of the kids that were there, looking back on it. One thought when seeing Bush's expression, "...did we read something wrong?" Another commented, "...I'm just glad he didn't get up and leave, because then I would have been more scared and confused." They were 6 and 7. Just think and try to put yourself in their shoes.

  • @77777Blackjack77777 Not sure if you bothered to watch until the end, but this was not someone worried about "frightening the children". A simple smiling "Excuse me, but I have 'President-things to do" would have sufficed.

IF he had been worried about "frightening the children" like so many claim, it would of been nice if he had shown HALF as much concern for the people in those buildings. Priorities, ya know.

  • i clicked the annotation so i could dislike another video of yours :D

  • @halliehater It's not the matter of what he couldn't have done in 7 minutes. he probably wouldn't had been able to do a lot. It's the fact that he chose to sit and do nothing for 7 minutes while the country HE HAD SWORN TO PROTECT was being attacked. Although he may not have been able to accomplish much in 7 minutes, he could have at least gotten on his way instead of just sitting.

  • To all the idiots who say Bush did the right thing, I say, "Bullshit"

Bush should have stood up, and said, "Thank you for inviting me today. You're doing great, and I'm proud of you. Stay in school, and study hard. I'm sorry, but something has come up and I have to leave now."

He should have then left the room, relocated to a safe area, and been fully briefed so he could make informed decisions because he was supposed to be, you know, the 'Commander in Chief'.

    What an f-tard.

  • Full scale investigation. Bald face lier .

  • oh my word - excusing him just sitting there silently for 7 minutes after being told we just got two huge planes into the WTC is about the most helpless deer in headlights response possible! Agreed, I'd be more impressed if he fainted instead of just sitting when he should have left & started telling the advisers to do this or that based on what they told him!! He had a good heart, but I think Cheney took advantage of that, along with PNAC just look them up & "Pearl Harbor"
