One thing thats worth addressing honestly, though... "Money comes from the government..." It's the Campground Bear mentality, where you eventually arrive at a point where you can only subsist on what people hand you. It's a tragic thinking error that results in deep poverty, even homelessness.

The United States used to have a robust program for dealing with mental illness. Unfortunately, the state hospitals devolved into horrible places of abuse, mistreatment, etc. We made a very deliberate decision to abandon the mentally ill, under the guise of their 'rights'. Instead of fixing what was broken, we shifted the problem on to the prison system to deal with. As I've gotten older, I now see what this country really is. It's not what I had been told growing up. It is worthy of contempt.

@dudebubguy people arnt homeless because they use drugs, they use drugs because they are homeless, 96% of the homeless population sufferes from untreated mental illness.
