The carp prefer to live down the edge so I think you will miss most of them with your net. I think you need to make a square enclosure with an opening then feed pellets and get a shoal of carp then close them in!

Once they had shoved ALL the fish into a smaller area, they would have to be gotten out of there somehow. At that point they could be netted and sorted. Asian carp into barge for landfill, other fish back over the sweeping net.
This idea need to be refined a lot, but I think they should start doing stuff ASAP because the fish multiply ASAP.
