Civil Society Acts Beyond Borders Launch.mv4

On the 29th July 2010 at 17:00 at the CCMC (Cyprus Community Media Center) at Ledra Palace Nicosia Future Worlds Center (FWC) organized for the participants of Civil Society Act Beyond Borders a "Cyprus Peace Makers Act Beyond Borders" conference. Civl Society Acts Beyond Borders (CSABB) is a 3-year project (EIDHR/2009/167-502), co-funded by the European Commission, European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). It is being coordinated by Future Worlds Center (FWC) Nicosia, Cyprus with the assistance of local partners the Palestinian Dialogue Center (PDC) in the Palestinian Territories and the Association for Progressive Education in Honor of Meir Yaari (YAARI) in Israel.

Several key individuals were invited from peace building projects in Cyprus to share their experiences in Peace Building projects between the Turkish-Cypriot communities and the Greek-Cypriot communities. Project participants from Israel and the Palestinian territories were able to hear firsthand conflict resolution experiences, and thus relate the speakers' insight to their own problem.
