Ok I have to admit that you have been playing longer than me. Actually I started right after 1.08 so I just had my foot in my mouth I guess you could say. I had the same idea and soon as I hit 98 I went strait to the ancients and no noticeable experience. Please accept my apology for speaking from ignorance. I was wrong about two things, first your post and secondly I have not been playing D2 as long as any one else. My regards to those who are senior to me.

Basic setup :) for hammerdin... i still prefer Hoto, Spirit, 10FCR + 15all res ring, just to get max FCR, and with perf Cta+ spirit you still get 5k life and 1k mana. with max res on all difficulties
its not the how much dmg you do its more about how fast can you cast hammers because if some one does do 1-2k more dmg because of his/her skillers then you still out DPS them because you cast 40-50% faster. :)
