... I am Martha in our class's play of 1776 and I have sing this. The awkward part is... my best friend, who is a girl also, is Thomas Jefferson because of the lack of female parts. This is going to be interesting.

they had a clip of the video, but youtube took it down!

Blythey Danner was lovely in the movie but Betty Buckley was INCREDIBLE in B'way cast. Magnificent voice.

@MrMidwest Dunno about smoking, but regardless, I'd say there's a big difference between singing and dancing in a musical live every night and recording a single song for a movie under ideal conditions.

I just got the call saying I've gotten the part of Martha Jefferson in an upcoming production :) Ahhhhh I'm so excited!!!

The lyrics are wrong, in the first verse, the word isn't "it's", it is "twixt".

@bookfreak16984 He didn't die, in fact this IS the original actor Howard Da Silva IN the film.
He was just unwell.

It's odd that her voice sounds so much more limited in the more recent clips of her in Follies. Is she a smoker?

Well if it's a different voice, you prolly have the play soundtrack. As far as I know, there IS so official soundtrack of the movie to get. I ripped this from the movie and then cut out the inane comments and long instrumental. If it's the same voice, maybe in the version you have they left everything in, or cut different stuff out.
