  • tried the gnome version of this, wasnt bad i think but i preffered ubuntu. however i couldnt get wireless to work with ubuntu on my laptop so settled on fedora13 instead :)

  • @rayzer1981 Yeah I was thinking about switching to Fedora, I downloaded the iso and tried it in a Live CD, but I really don't see much of a difference in performance. I grew up on Ubuntu and I'll remain an Ubuntu fan. As long we all use Linux that's all that matters. Cheers!

  • I use SuSE + Gnome, I downloaded the DVD installer, it let's you choose KDE or Gnome

  • @vondoomindustries Respond to this video...Nice... I tried it for a while, but I had to switch back to Ubuntu.

  • OK... it is a good alternative for Ubuntu. But have you tried other Gnome versions? Like Fedora? If you don't mind using KDE then this is a great operating system to use. It has not given me any problems and I currently still run it on my laptop. I still run Ubuntu in the desktop, and I still love it.

Give it a try, and let me know if you have further questions!

    Cheers!
