Grizzly at campground at Yellowstone Park

This grizzly bear came into the campground we were at. the park rangers had to race to the scene and shoot at it with shotguns and air guns up in the air. they chased it out of the campground. this was taken a couple weeks ago before the fatal grizzly attack of a camper just north of this area in Yellowstone. very possible this is the same bear that killed someone recently. I think if you plan on camping in Yellowstone in a tent you should sleep with a Rambo Knife in your hand - that's what I do. P.S. dont make jokester growling noises when you sneak up on me in the night.

see map in next post. we drove in from the west entrance then started driving east past Madison and up by Norris "Y". there is a campground there. But the reality is the Grizzlies are everywhere. So, you're taking your chances in a tent anywhere there. unless you gots my Rambo knife and my nerves of steal to use it on Mr. Griz in just the right way, you betta sleap with one eye open and in your car.

Isn't there a way in which visitors can be protected? Even if it is costly, can't it be built a fence enclosing the camp site?

Rambo knife! LOL. Mr. Griz. has something for that Rambo knife. Seriously I am headed to Pebble creek and Slough in a week so would like to know where that is. We could be staying a Tower as a back-up but have not been there before.

Like the stream running though. Looks nice.

yeah bud, in case of a close encounter with a massive grizlly use a bear spray to pepper his supper (urself) -he may appriciate some thai cuisine... and if you don't like the idea of a bear sucking your toes, the nife will solve this out for you (-u can cut your head off XP) @KrisMTL

I sleep with a knife and bear spray when I camp in the backwoods. So if you sleep with a rambo knife that's good on you man.
