Me playing "Since I've Laid My Burden Down" by Mississippi John Hurt outside the Riverside Hotel in Clarksdale, Ms. I'm told that John Lee Hooker used to sit out on this very porch and play guitar. Many blues artists of the 40s and 50s stayed or lived in this hotel including Muddy Waters, Ike Turner, Robert Nighthawk, and John Lee Hooker. This is the place to stay in Clarksdale; when you go, say hi to Rat for me.
