I can speak from experience when I tell you that dumpster diving and meth addiction go hand in hand. Bipolar syndrome and some forms of schizophrenia also go hand in hand with meth addiction. Other than the part where he dresses in drag with coke bottle bottoms for eye glass lenses and wears dentures he doesn't need this guy acts relatively normal as I have seen some serious freak shows that are much more shocking.
