This video is a guide on how to solo Elluman MM.

As you might know, Elluman is the tree-like boss who can be found at "Ocher Forest". The maps before the boss are pretty annoying to solo, since they aren't straight lines (exception: 'log bridge A'). After doing Elluman runs for over 50 times, I've pointed out a good pattern which should be the fastest path possible.

2 things are important for the paths:
- combo retaining
- as fast as possible
And the result is in this video!

I hope it's useful... (how many people are soloing actually?)

In the end of the video, you see me kill the boss itself, Elluman. I didn't add dodge tips, but I've got some though. That run took me ~6minutes, which is pretty fast for an Elluman run. (Some maps, like 'Fairy's Log House' and 'Tree Of Wisdom', take longer as some other maps, like 'Log Bridge A'.)

Dodge tips for Elluman:
He has 4 kind of attacks:
1) Bat Breath.
You can see this attack in the beginning of my video. You can basically dodge this by dashing away when he casts, or you could stand on top of him. When you stand on top of him, the bats fly over you. This is his STRONGEST attack.
2) Icy Grass.
Sometimes Elluman creates a green circle on the ground. When you touch it, you get frozen. In the end of my video I got frozen oncely. Basically you can avoid this by jumping as quick as possible, and dashing outside (that's what I did in the video, but somehow I still got frozen (bugged?)) and other options... Well... It's hard to dodge, it's more luck. IF you get frozen, make sure you spam some potions to stay alive! While being frozen also spam your dash button, or the button of an INSTANT launchskill to be able to flee.
3) Green Wind.
Sometimes Elluman sends out 3 green hurricane towards the front. You can avoid this by rushing to the other side of the map, so you are able to walk between those 3, or by getting to the other side of Elluman as soon as possible.
4) Tree Fall.
Sometimes Elluman creates a brown circle on the floor. A few seconds later some tree-like creature falls on top of your head. The only way to dodge this is to dash/walk out in any direction.
5) Normal attack.
Well... This is same to all bosses... Jump when he starts his animation, or dash away from the boss. DO NOT dash to the other side of the boss, since it will still hit you (and eventually your allies which are at the other side of the boss)

Dash = tap 1 arrow key twice (example: up-up to dash upwards)

  • Just a quick question, did you max out AAS? Anti air Shot? because i heard that its useless to max it as it doesn't increase much dmg at all. and using falcons and wolf's are much faster when it comes to mission map? And lastly did you max out rapid step? Thanks, nice video also.

  • @MagicStove1 Yes and no.

Yes: I did max it initially, as it's your main killing skill until your falcons start kicking in. On this character I still have it *I assume*. Haven't played this char in months! But even then, AAS is an effective killer and you don't really need SP for other things if you ignore poison arrow etc.

No: On my other archer class (grenadier/ballista/...) I did reskill it away.

  • @MagicStove1 On this class I did level rapid step in the 20s, but I reskilled it away for multishot in de 40s. Did I regret it? Not at all. This class has relatively low bossing ability (in the vid's version! Now shootdown became a sick bossing skill!) so multishot was really worth it back then. (Now, it became less worth it as shootdown got godly).

However, if you enjoy PvP, rapid step will be great. For PvM... Dashing is faster, yet rapid step may help you take less damage. Your choice.

  • if you do aspining attack on him why he is freazing you

    like jesters skill

it will stop but still will hit him

    try out

  • @pscman3 Rangers don't have channeling skills like that.

  • @rapidkill1000 What would I need it for? A ranger has plenty of launching skills without rocket launcher already. Especially at the high levels, when both falcons launch to max height.

  • @rapidkill1000 Low level: first blitz, then falcon (makes them unable to jump out of your launch quickly).

High level: use them separately, cos falcon frenzy will also launch the enemy to max height. Using both makes them unreachable for your AAS.

  • @Bob1996Bob I fought him. Which relates to A) my level and B) the fact I pretty much quitted for the sake of University.

But my Ranger/Trapper is at the level of Arka-ish for example.

  • Its not that you fight elluman but that you know so mutch aboat the maps and the boss himself. You cant fight elluman on lv 1 so offcourse you fight more bosses ^^

  • @Bob1996Bob The vid doesn't say I only fight Elluman o.o
