@ethioman666 it looks dirty because all of their punches are a complete mess. if you see someone who actually gives a damn about technique and is properly trained then its beautiful.

This is sport, no matter what people say. This isn't a martial art. Both ITF and WTF focus on their respective sporting aspects

@chelseabest1980 Really? You prefer the WTF Sparring style over KKW Formal TKD? I mean, it doesnt concern me that you prefer one form over another, but some terminology wouldnt go amiss.

@ethioman666 WAIT WAIT WAIT. More skill???? It's not 10 punches and one kick in ITF it's either one at any time to anywhere, which means you have twice as many weapons to worry about!! ITF takes more skill BEACUSE it's more realistic, how can it possibly take less skill that way? Think about it..

Anyone who has fought in ITF at BB level can safely say its full contact to the body and IF you KO an opponent with a beautifully executed KICK as he storms into you with arms flailing then that's YOUR win! The problem with 'semi' is the ambiguity and the refereeing bias which is endemic to the sport. It's certainly more realistic than WTF which has its knockers but IS a hard sport! (not Martial art). Full contact is the only real way to test your skills and conditioning in competition

itf tkd is a dirty sport although realistic. wtf is a beautiful sport but i guess not realistic. wtf requires more skill cause itf is just throwing 10 punches with one kick. WTF is the other way around.

I thought you weren't aloud to grab your opponent? I remember getting told off for hanging on to my sparring partner's leg after kicks...I get that it's instinctive to grab hold of them, but at black belt level they should know better?
