Psychologist Dr. J. Buzz Von Ornsteiner aka Dr. Buzz appearing on the Fox News Channel; gave his psychological insights on a new research study. Are we born with a slasher, horror, fright film gene? Why are some individuals truly scared when they watch a slasher, horror film - that is filled with bloody gore & mass murder; where as others simply laugh? Does genetics play a role in why some individuals love JASON, FREDDY & HALLOWEEN? Are you a victim that is easy to scare or do you just laugh when faced with fear? A new research study indicates that a gene may make us more vulnerable to being fearful, frightened and truly scared. However, the study only focused on teenage to young adult females. So the study is limited. As we age do we become less frighted? Films known to create fear displayed during this television discussion are Stephen King's The Shining with Jack Nicholson, The Exorcist with Linda Blair, Nightmare On Elm Street & the movie, Halloween. In addition, it was reported that before becoming a licensed psychologist, Dr. Buzz was a Hollywood actor appearing in a number of slasher, fright, horror B films such as Slashdance, Robot Holocaust & Zombie Death House!
I love that they put the Exorcist. Still after thirty years the scariest movie ever made for me. I was traumatized. Jason, not scary. The first Elm Street yes, that was a good scare.

"I giggle at these movies" Are we supposed to care or something? You look like your mid 30's petty things like Freddy kruger aren't going to realy scare you.
