A very cooperative blotchside logperch, Percina burtoni seen in Spring Creek, a tributary to the Hiwassee River in East Tennessee. All logperch flip rocks while searching for small aquatic insects to eat. Blotchside logperch seem particularly dedicated to this work! We never get tired of watching these guys when we encounter them!

He is a mighty flipper! What kind of camera did you use? Is the camera making the clicking sound autofocusing? Excellent detail and dead on focus most of the time.

I will assemble the video i shot summer 2011 and see if he is kin.

    :)

  • Excellent video JR... i think i know him!

  • Thanks for the video. I've been particularly interested in Logperch ever since catching one when fishing at Bull Run Creek.
