Short answer is no. You are right it is problematic. However, i think God is completely irrelevent when it comes to environment, because God is perceived to be supernatural, something who doesn't need anything, and doesn't belong to such environment and in anyway doesn't bother him, therefore we need not him getting involved in our environment, just keep him away.
