leona is amazing..here in indonesia we all know leona lewis..unlike snow patrol..i just know that snow patrol sing this song because i saw @Vsfraservalley comment..i don't even know another snow patrol's song..sorry to say..but after hear snow patrol version i think both of them are good..they have their own power..but in my subjective opinion i still love leona's version more than snow patrol's version because i love leona so much..she is my favorite singer..thank's x-factor to found her.. :)

Both, Snow Patrol and Leona Lewis are brilliant. It's clear that her version is more sucessfull, because when Snow Patrol wrote and realeased this song they were an unknown Indie-band at this time. A show like X-factor is much more promoted because only the money counts at these casting-shows. Her version isn't better than the original, it's a different genre of music. Both versions are great.

honnestly i am not liking this. She is trying to convey so much emotion, but it falls flat for me. It is acted emotion, empty. Snow patrol can now sing like this girl, waivering notes, etc. But i feel the meaning of this song when they sing it, they are not trying to pull as much emotion as possible out of every line like she is, it is just there, and it it real.

You can't compare them, two different styles of music. Snow Patrol wrote as a rock ballad, and it's beautiful and emotional, Leona's version has more Glamour.
