  • You didn't offend me. I think it's nice you care enough about dogs to reach out and offer advice, good advice I would add. When Fergie was a puppy we did get her a kiddie pool. Many dogs love the water but not our Fergie. Do you have a schnauzer?

  • @mkinnuca don't worry about it, it's just that maybe you should try to take the life suit off and first let Fergie swim in a shallow kiddie pool then move on to a slightly more water filled pool and work your way to your nice in ground pool. I'm just suggesting .

    .

  • @blackfergie2010 I appreciate the advice but based on a single 15 second clip why would you assume we haven't tried?

  • my schnauzer ran and leaped into a friends pool and paddled around, thought I was gonna have to jump in with my clothes on and save him but he got out on his own, now he loves to hope down onto the first step and play in the water. He's an interesting Schnauzer, I understand most don't like to play fetch but mine will, he also loves chew toys and squeakers.

  • @pulver117 Fergie still hates the water, like your mini Fergie loves to play fetch too. I look forward to it every night after dinner. They are a great breed! So smart, loyal, and affectionate. Thanks for taking the time to watch the clip and post!

  • Yes they do, it could be the life jacket that makes it hard for him. All dogs can swim. Its a natural instinct for the Doggy Paddle to kick in.

  • @IkeMikeAndMustard

Your right, and I know that. It was a very poor choice of words when I quickly posted the clip. Yes, like all dogs Fergie has the instinctive ability to swim. Unlike many dogs she really does not like to. I also agree with you about the life jacket. It's more a hinderance than a help. It makes my wife feel better and Fergie doesn't seem to mind it. Thanks for the feedback!

  • @mkinnuca I'm sorry if my comment made you feel offended and I'm sure you did try. But, I was just trying to help and i had no clue if you had tried. I apologize i should have been more understanding.

  • @blackfergie2010 No offense taken :) It was a poor choice of words when I titled the clip. Fergie can swim, she just does not like it at all. I do agree with you about the life jacket. It's far more a hinderance than a help. It makes my wife feel good when the Ferga dog is in the water and Fergie doesn't seem to mind it.

  • No offense, one of the reasons ur schnauzer can't swim is cuz u have that life suit on him

  • @JessicaGlamLPS

Males go looking for bitches. Mine got ran over :(

Now I've had a girl for 6 years and she never goes too far away even if let out by accident.
