  • Becky Fischer is a very disturbed woman.

  • Repulsive... If I were religious this would be a great example of " Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves".

  • she is saying that children are much smarter than we give them credit for and understand what her ridiculous club means by "declaring war", but apparently they are not smart enough to understand that harry potter and disney are fiction. right, so harry potter is the dangerous one here.

  • That said, Jesus came as part of a "new covenant" that set humans free from many of the laws of the Old Testament. You're right Christianity is not the only religion or even movement to promote peace, but it is the most radical. Jesus said, in effect, that anyone can love their friends, even Satan loves his demons! But I challenge you to love even your enemies!

    Now that is revolutionary...

  • When reviewing the incidents that you refer to in the Old Testament, it is important to the extreme behavior of the people God had intended for destruction. With reference to the Canaanites author Norman Geisler has commented, “This was a thoroughly evil culture...They were into brutality, cruelty, incest, bestiality, cultic prostitution, and even child sacrifice by fire. They were an aggressive culture that wanted to annihilate the Israelites.”

  • @daveyboygee Christianity is not the only religion to promote peace, love and hope. You've got to understand that the loving God of the new testament is also the psychotic child murderer God of the old.

  • @Reasonwillwin I understand your doubt and I felt the same way for a long time too. But the more I've studied this ancient document and spoken with scholars who do the same, the more I've begun to realize that this book is something that transcends what mere men could have known in their time.

It is a message that has stood the test of time. And, in the New Testament, this is a message of peace, love and hope. It has saved men from self-destruction on both personal and universal levels.

  • @daveyboygee Well then if there's no way to prove God exists or doesn't exist, why do you claim the bible is God's word? Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

  • God made the universe and it didn't just ...get here! Is that so crazy? God hasn't reached out of the sky to shake hands or appeared to me but he communicates with me in other, more subtle ways. You may call them chance happenings. But I think the odds are against that.To me, believing that the heavens & Earth and the complicated life in it are made by chance is akin to believing that someone could take all the correct parts, throw them out in the road, and a car would form.

    Now that's crazy.

  • @Reasonwillwin Thank you for taking the time to read the passage. But don't try to belittle me by comparing me to a twisted child molestor. Just because I have faith in God doesn't make me stupid, psychotic or brainwashed. There are no difinitive arguments that either confirm nor deny that God exists. So when you make a "staw man" attack you just discredit yourself.I happen to believe that God has a plan for each of us.

I do believe that I can speak to my maker. I believe that Jesus lives.

  • @daveyboygee I've read it, I have hope and I have a future, I don't need a cult in my life. Try to brainwash somebody else David Koresh Jr. I'm not jealous of you sir, on the contrary, I think people like you are rather pathetic. If I was jealous of you then I'd start being a christian. You really think you have a personal relationship with your God? You think you're friends with that invisible being that doesn't speak to you? You are in grave need of psychiatric help.

  • @Reasonwillwin Well I'm glad you at least own a copy of God's word!

Now use it for what it was intended for...and, besides, toilet paper is better for wiping.

I'm going to challenge you to read Jeremiah Chapter 29 Verse 11. If you accept this, you won't have to be jealous and angry anymore.
