The recent Intuit QuickBooks "Get Back to Business" Survey revealed small business owners' mind-set about the economic recession
• Congress passed a stimulus package in February aimed at improving small business's economic prospects with a new tax deduction. Including a $250,000 tax deduction on new equipment purchases made in 2008

With the economy on a downturn, many of us are watching every penny. The good news is that historically, many small businesses thrive and even grow during times like these, when many people turn to their passions and try to make their fortunes doing what they love to do, for example, opening a bakery or starting a landscaping service company.
But quickly these small business owners lose sight of their passions when caught up in the whirlwind of paperwork, invoices and other administrative duties that must get done.
In this segment, Rhonda Abrams, will take you and your viewers through results of a recent survey that was conducted to find out small business owners mind-set surrounding the recession and how they plan to keep their businesses in the black. She will also offer tips and advice on how small business owners can recession-proof their business.
Station Note: The funding sponsor of this segment is Intuit.
