Does anyone have a copy of Sylvester doing Southern Man, the Neil Young song? I was not a big fan of disco, but Sylvester was around long before disco. Please post this song as my old albums have been retired.

Sylvester, during his time w/ the Cockettes in the early 70s, did a "record act" where he dressed in drag as a nightclub chanteuse and lipsynced to vinyl recordings (on a victrola) of Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Helen Morgan, Sophie Tucker, Ruth Etting, etc.

and who is that HANDSOME young man accompanying Sylvester on piano?

The producer had this in his Cockettes archive. Be sure to read Pam Tent's 'Midnight At The Palace: My Life As A Fabulous Cockette,' and be sure to watch 'The Cockettes' (2002), the definitive documentary directed by David Weissman and Bill Weber.
