NordicSkiSource.com owner, Doug McSpadden demonstrates the differences between hard ski waxes and soft ski waxes, when they are most ideal to use, and properties of each.
Estimate the temperature range you may ski in and and choose a wax that has a range in the middle of the high and low temps. In xc skiing having only one wax is a big compromise. All skis can be rewaxed for the day's temperature. 3 glide waxes is basic for fitness skiers.
fuck morons p tex is alredy harder then hard ski wax wtf, so the benefits are negligible, SKI WAX IS A FUCKG SCAM

I wonder if the Toko and Swix wax techs ever engage in combat behind the scenes.

There are medium temperature wax as well.

There are general purpose waxes out there, but otherwise, I think you have to just apply the right wax for the day's conditions.

Thats interesting. But, if you only have one pair of skis, which wax should you use to accomodate all snow conditions?
