ClassicalRecords is a Youtube channel where I upload some excellent performances from the LPs in my collection. I'm uploading these LPs because they are either not available on CD, out of print on CD, or just difficult to find.
I still have this recording with the original cover. Haven't heard it in years since I have gone digital in my listening and have not used my turntable in years. Great performance. Too bad it was monoaural and not stereo. I wonder if Columbia originally recorded with stereo capability and if this could be re-issued in stereo?

@snaaptaker - I've always liked very much the Ormandy/Minneapolis SO version from the early 1930's. I think it the best recording of the piece during the 78rpm era. I wish someone would download it on YouTube.

Oh my goodness! I haven't seen this record cover in decades. I used to own it and wonder now what happened to it. Thanks for posting.

Ah, lovely.
I'm always on the lookout for a good recording of Schwanda. There aren't many.
The only other really decent one on YT is Reiner/Chicago, but I prefer this one.
Thanks much for this.
