This just goes to show what an incredible vaulter she is, to win the Olympic silver WITH A FALL. I think, as long as she stays healthy, she will win the gold in Rio. She won't lose her skill and power. I think she will even improve over the years. :-)

The 0 for not landing on your feet was not in '06-'08 code that Fei competed under. So her deductions were .8 for falling and any other execution errors.

I just watched Cheng Fei's 2008 vault from finals where she fell, and I read a lot of comparisons of people saying if she didn't deserve the medal she won, that Maroney didn't deserve her silver, either. Honestly, I disagree. It's really obvious in the video McKayla's feet hit the ground before she fell- Fei landed straight on her knees. I thought the rule was a fall was only -1.0 if the feet hit first? I'm just confused. Can someone explain what I'm missing? Just genuinely confused/curious.
