This is my second video project. The film concept comes from Australia Phrasebook. I am a foreigner for this country, and also according to my life experiences in here, I wrote this script for second video project.

  • what the hell, apples? kick the Bucket? im Aussie and i don't understand half of what hes saying.

  • Hi, before I did this video, I did some research about the Aussie's slang and phrase, and I found the book which is called "Australian Phrasebook" published by Lonely Planet - 2 Edition. So all the slang my actor said, he just followed my script. I think maybe the book is in the old edition and in nowadays many of slang or phrase which Australian don't use them anymore, so if someone got upset or unhappy after watched it, I feel sorry about that. Cheers~

  • i dont understand ive been looking for Australia English vs Brithish english everywhere and nothing. I dont undersatn there is American english and British english and even some canadan english but no Australian english why is this ?? its like no1 now's about Australia. PS i feel bad i no my own British english and alot of american english like most English speaking people but none Australian English i makes me think dose that make me ignrent like i think some americans are.

  • Hi, thx for giving u comment, maybe the topic of the film I didn't use properly, sorry about that. I don't wanna let people who feel bad/sad about the Aussie English. To create this film, I'm from the view of the interesting Aussie's slang and phrase using in their life conversation, every country has their own local slang or phrase, if we are not that native, we won't understand either. Therefore, this is the spirit of behind this film. Cheers~

  • @smh168 ive heard all of these things, maybe lara is Americanized

  • i never hear aussie say kick the bucket...

  • well to understand "my cat kicked the bucket" is easy...its a metaphor for "my car died"....i understand that and im AUSTRIAN (not Australian). Just a little bit of thinking is needed and you understand what the aussies mean^^

  • rofl this is so strange

  • nah you're right, most of this stuff is still used, but in the more regional areas. Although since australia has such an urbanized population thats still not many people.

  • no u gotta find the difference between Aussi and american eng because aussie eng comes fro British
