A short documentary on the flooding disaster in Northwest Illinois. Cities of Pearl City, Mt. Carroll, Lanark, Freeport, and other rural communities have suffered great loss at the hands of nature. My prayer is that we all join together in unity, support each other in the efforts to rebuild, and ultimately, grow stronger in our faith.
I feel very guilty about this i do not control weather but I left back to colorado the day before i would say I was lucky but I have many friends in PC including quiet a bit of family I wish i wouldnt have gone home the day before I would have gladly helped the clean up and helped where needed. After my last visit several months ago many of you seem to be doing much better. Best wishes, Troy

@dajonasbrothers, if you were cleaning up the mess then, obviously that post wasn't aimed at you.....I would appreciate it if you think about what you post first.....thank you....

The second clip was taken from my "yard" and my house was the third clip. When things like this happen, it's when I love PC the most. You will never find a community that is more willing to help and not just nieghbors it's everybody that is there helping. You can tell who the out of town gaukers are, they are dry and clean, standing around with there camera pissing me off....

@Fergalish11 I'm very sorry for your lose. Those photos are heartbreaking. I live in Canada now but was born in Freeport and my Great Grandma, Lennie Studebaker used to own the house at Green Street & North 1st(north-east corner. My favorite childhood memories are there. If you know how that house fared, could you please drop me a note here and let me know? I will be visiting this coming Oct. but do not any longer know anyone living in Pearl City. And thanks Elly for the video, important work.
