I think over time Bill would have moved away from indicting all advertising to indicting specific products and companies. It's a lot easier to defend that position.

@stuckdan I realize that it is the "sound of sucking Satan's cock". My only complaint is that it is overbearing, and redundant. It's not very clever, and is really just loud, and rather annoying. It's something Dane Cook would do(and he has done stuff like this).
And Bill Hicks is not at all subtle. His stand-up is more so a heavy-handed lecture on socio-political themes, then it is a comedy act. It gets tiresome after awhile.

@kylio27 That sound doesn't describe distaste. If you'd seen a longer clip of the same show you'd know Bill is demonstrating the sound of a former artist sucking Satan's cock.
It's the subtleties that make Bill Hicks such a great stand up.

Of course good old Bill never, EVER used advertising to get arses on seats at his gigs. Never, EVER used marketing in any way, shape or form to get his message out there. Great message it is too.

It never ceases to amaze me just how many nails this man hit on the head. Just amazing. Greatest comedian/spoken word artist in all of future history (I reckon)
