Dungeness is the largest shingle promontory in Europe, a place of haunting beauty with a unique flora and fauna, two vast nuclear power stations and 600,000 visitors each year.
Dungeness is the story of a coastal community which for centuries has had an isolated existence yet is now facing an uncertain future. Dave Bunnie contemplates a life earning a living from the shoreline, fisherman Dave Tart worries about his son's future and fish smoker Jim Moat begrudges the artists who have moved into the place. Dungeness is the story of a very individualistic community that is slowly becoming a tourist attraction.
Dave Tart is my Uncle.
And that little fish trolley thing..... it was me and my cousin who broke it as kids, he was pushing me along in it when it de-railed and broke the wheel.

Goodness me Doreen Thomas! I remember as a boy being bathed in front of the fire by my mother at Southview. I'm 46 now and she's still trying to get me in the darn thing!! Times have changed from a fisherman at Dungeness to an art dealer now working in Nantucket USA..who would have thought it? best wishes, Paul Copson
