for all of you learning this, it is also very important to learn where all of the A's are, or whatever root note your playing, because you can run all of the position's or the scales together to be able to play up and down the neck. also try to learn to play your guitar licks in every position. this will help open your playing up quickly.

also start a lick in one position,and in the middle jump to another position to finish the lick.
