An Atheist's Diary - The Scientologist

So about two months ago, I had the opportunity to speak with a Scientologist. Needless to say, what may be her route to happiness... is one that will ruin her.

I didn't know tattoos and piercings had any effect on intelligence. Tattoos and piercings are all in the eye of the beholder, much like art. To you, I may be ruining my body. But to me, I am "spoiling" =P my body because I love tattoos and piercings. At the moment, I have a total of 9 tattoos and 5 piercings. I guess this will be another thing to share with the world, that people with tattoos and piercings can be intelligent and can be successful in life too. ^_^

It's actually a pattern of behavior for other Scientologists. Take Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson). Last year, she donated 10 million dollars, which is double her annual salary.

If the money wasn't used the way it was (i.e. harassing critics, buying new buildings around the world without moving into them), I wouldn't be boycotting Scientology celebrities.

If you're that close a friend, and Scientology goes the way they say it goes, get ready for her to ask you for a loan. Not to pay off creditors, but to get more Scientology courses. Draw a line soon. But be prepared, once you do, to have her never talk to you again. It's a sad fact. She's already a goner.
