This is the reflection slideshow for Vincent KS Lee shown at the Service on 17 November 2008 for friends and family who shared his life.

Vincent KS Lee Eulogy

I first met Vincent on 30 March 2001 at a Design Agency function at the East Sydney Hotel in Sydney. He was very easy to talk to, had a very down-to-earth nature and I soon learnt he was someone I could really trust as a friend and invite along to any social events with other friends of mine.

Many years ago I remember inviting him to my birthday party and about 10 minutes before the party I noticed him sitting across the road from my balcony. I motioned him to come in and asked him why he was sitting there and he said he was waiting for the time when the party was supposed to officially start before pressing the doorbell. He had apparently been there for about 20 minutes and from that time on he has been one of the most punctual people Ive ever met and known.

Today is a day to celebrate the life of Vincent, or Vinnie as I always called him, and there are certainly so many great qualities about him that he shared with us all and made us fully appreciate his trustworthy company and genuine friendship.

He was a fantastic cook and there didnt seem to be anything that he couldnt cook or work out how to. The dishes he presented at dinner and party get togethers were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. And he was always a master chef at BBQs and could make a brilliant expresso from his coffee machine.

Vincent was a brilliant karaoke singer, a very cool mover and groover on the dancefloor, a talented and creative designer who was very much an ideas man and was a guiding authority for me on all Malaysian dishes we searched high and low to find in Sydney.

He would always remember your birthday, was a great listener, a passionate Brisbane Broncos fan, and always took pride in his appearance and fashionable haircut styles. He was a generous and giving soul and always reliable and willing to help out whenever you needed him.

I know Im a much better person in having the chance to know him and I really felt he was like a brother to me and we had so many things in common. Weve enjoyed visiting countless gallery openings, live bands, festivals, BBQs, birthdays, fancy dress parties, karaoke nights, Friday catch-up drinks, movies, markets, lunches and dinners. I will cherish these moments and remember them fondly.

I think one of his most amazing qualities was his sense of humour, and his hilarious one-liners and sarcastic wit. His sense of fun and laughter made a good night out turn into a great night out with friends.

Vincent, you will truly be missed and never forgotten by the many that love and care for you and your gift to the world will inspire and shine in our hearts forever. You were a decent, loving, caring and considerate person who has brought so much joy and happiness to everyone youve met. And also the many dogs and cats you always loved to pat, especially under their bellies which they were so appreciative of.

May peace and happiness prevail wherever you are and thank you so much for being such a true friend to me over the years and to so many others in your life.

Love and big hugs
Simon Leong :-) XXX
