Live at The Trafalgar, Douglas, Isle of Man - 11-01-09
Ways of Stephen were a lo-fi-psychedelic-country-folk-pop-rock band from the Isle of Man.
Formed in 1991 and split in 1996.
The core members were Mike Seed, Selwyn Callister, Simon Pott and Dave Charnley.
(Mark Cleator stood in for Simon when he went away for a year)
The last ever gig was in 1996, that is up until January 2009 when a good friend and fan Steve Ellis asked the band to re-form for a special one off show for Chris Wilson, another friend and fans 40th birthday party.
Very sadly Ways of Stephen's drummer Dave Charnley died in 2005, he was and still is irreplaceable, so the band decided to strip it down to the original two members... Mike and Selwyn.
A fantastic evening was had by all.
And the icing on the cake was that Darren Hayman (of Hefner fame) also played.... and was ace.
The original recording....

p.s.
Bobby Williams wrote the string/oboe arrangement on the original recorded track, and did a fine fine job, hence Mike thanks him mid-song.
